We deal with elliptic systems of p-Laplacian type depending on the symmetric gradient of solutions. The optimal Sobolev regularity of the associated stress field for merely square-integrable right-hand sides is discussed. This is joint work with L.Behn and L.Diening.
Professor Andrea Cianchi from the University of Florence is an internationally recognized expert in analysis and partial differential equations, especially in their geometric aspects. He was a former disciple of another famous Italian mathematician de Giorgio Talenti. Prof. Cianchi was awarded the Fichera Prize of the Italian Mathematical Union in 2014, the Amerio Prize in 2018, and Orazio Arena Prize in 2023.
