In this talk, we study some coupled hyperbolic systems with variable exponents. By the frequency domain method and the multiplier method, the stability results of hyperbolic systems with fractional dampings are obtained. The study confirms that the stability of the systems are closely related to the type of damping, the order of damping and the location of damping，etc.
