The Vandiver conjecture states that for every odd prime p, the class number of the maximal real subfield of the p-th cyclotomic field is not divisible by p. This conjecture remains open and is one of the central problems in algebraic number theory. In this report, we will present our recent results on the Vandiver conjecture and related problems.
